LC Apparel Consulting was birthed as a resource for emerging creators in order to expand product-development knowledge. This goal is achieved via a blend of consult services & educational offerings.

LC Apparel Consulting takes joy in educating clients, thereby empowering them to bring their Fashion Dreams to LIFE. In addition to product development consults, we offer production services, courses, mentorship packages, workshops and New York garment district tours.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:
A series of steps that includes the conceptualization, design, development and marketing of newly created or newly rebranded goods or services

PATTERN MAKING:
It is the art of manipulating and shaping a flat piece of paper to conform to one or more curves of the human figure. Pattern making is a bridge function between design and production. A sketch can be turned into a garment via a pattern which interprets the design in the form of the garment components.
SAMPLE MAKING:
To cut and sew the 1st prototypes of your design. Sample making is the 3rd step in the process. We lay out your fabric and cut out the fabric into the shapes using your pattern. We will use the fabric the designer has chosen for their final design for the sales sample. One of our highly experienced & trained sample makers will sew your clothing design or garment. Normally we make 1 to 2 samples per design to test the fabric and make any pattern corrections that are needed to ensure the fit and design is perfect before bulk production is made.

FABRIC SOURCING:
The service does not include the price of your final approved fabrics.
Fabrics are both inspiring and innovative. They help to set the theme of each line. Each season, fabric designers and mills create new color palettes, weaves and textures, fiber blends and printing techniques, lending fashion direction for the coming season. We guide our clients in choosing the right fabrics for their product to achieve the desired finished product and price point.
Starting with reliable and knowledgeable sources we source from fabric wholesalers & fabric trade shows all over the world.

GRADING/MARKING:
The process of sizing your garment up and down from the base size. Once your garment has been graded, a production marker is created. This is the process of taking all of your pattern pieces for all the sizes and fitting them most efficiently over the width of your fabric.

PRICING STRATEGY & COSTING:
Apparel pricing categories and retail distribution.

DOMESTIC PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT:
Liaison between all vendors in manufacturing process.

QUALITY CONTROL & ASSURANCE:
Per design style to meet the quality expectations of each brand.
COLLECTION CUSTIMIZATION:
Digital Printing, Sublimation Printing, Heat Transfer & Embroidery
